IRVINGTON  HISTORICAL  SOCIETY

The Society was founded in 1964 and is a private non-profit group.  Irvington Historical Society’s mission is to help preserve, art and culture of the Greater Irvington area.

Preservation Pays: Tax Credit Workshop for Historic Districts 

 

The tax credit workshop is a a three day event that is open to the public to learn about local, state and federal programs that encourage the preservation of buildings. 



On Monday, July 16, speakers will explain the differences between a local historic district and a state/federal historic district.  Topics discussed will be about local preservation plans, types of changes that can be made to your home, and what advantages you have as a historic building or a historic home.

On Tuesday, July 17, speakers will explain the residential historic tax credits that can be used to preserve, restore, rehab and renovate your home.  Topics discuss will be about the application process, qualified expenses, and benefits to your property.



On Wednesday, July 18, speakers will explain rehabilitation investment tax credit that can help to preserve, restore, rehab and renovate your income producing property.  Topics discussed will be application process, required documentation, and qualified expenses.
